Murals for nurseries and children's rooms

PANDEMIC UPDATE - due to the current physical distancing restrictions imposed as a result of the pandemic, I am unable to start any mural commissions until such time as these restrictions are lifted. Please contact me if you would like to book for the future or consider commissioning wall hanging artwork as an alternative.

Murals are a great way to transform any room, giving the space a unique and personal touch. Adding a mural to a new baby’s nursery or a child’s room can be a fun and exciting way to add colour and decoration, creating a personal and unique space.

As an artist and a mum myself, I understand how best to incorporate murals into spaces to create beautiful environments for babies and children to grow, learn, play and dream.

Murals are special because they are designed specifically for your baby or child, and can be tailored to fit any space, style and budget. My murals are painted in safe, non-toxic, odour free paint so are completely safe for your baby or child.

If you have an idea for a mural, no matter how inventive, I can bring it to life!

Give me a call to discuss your idea.

The Process

1. Initial Conversation

Bubbles

Please get in touch with a brief description of your idea or theme, along with the wall size. If you have any images of artwork you like that you can give me in advance of our first call, that would be very helpful. If this isn’t possible, I can create lots of ideas to show you after we speak.

Once I have full details of your requirements, I will then be able to provide you with a free of charge design proposal and quotation.

2. Creating The Mural

If you are happy with my quotation then the work is booked on a date convenient to you.

The first step is for me to hand draw the mural onto the wall. I draw freehand without using stencils or projections which allows me the greatest creative freedom. Once the initial drawing has been sketched out you can then approve the artwork before any painting begins. If any alterations are needed they can be done at this stage.

3. Painting The Mural

My bespoke murals are all hand painted using safe, non-toxic, odour free emulsions. Colours are hand mixed on the day so they can be made to match existing fabrics if required.

4. The Finished Mural

My unique, hand painted murals can usually be finished within a few days, depending on the size and level of detail. After completion, the paint will only take a short time to dry and then the room can be used and enjoyed.
